Promoting cost-effective techniques and advanced technologies in pharmaceutical cold chain management and transportation across India

The Indian pharmaceutical market is expected to grow from US$ 12.6 billion to a staggering US$ 55 billion by 2020.

With Indian pharma exports poised to cater for eight per cent of the world’s pharmaceutical production, the industry is facing some generic challenges with respect to supply chain and logistic methods.

A major obstacle in the supply chain and logistic methods is adequate monitoring and temperature control of products during storage and transportation. This has a direct impact on product deficiencies; even the World Health Organization (WHO) stated that 25 percent of all vaccine products arrive at their final destination in a degraded state.

With the current requirement for new and advanced technologies for Indian’s cold chain industry, IQPC brings you Cold Chain India, scheduled on 7-8 June 2012 in Hyderabad, India. The event will address how to monitor, control and manage bio-pharma products across the entire supply chain cycle.

This interactive forum will bring together pharmaceutical manufacturers, biotechnology firms, governmental representative and regulators who will provide an insight into the latest industry regulations, temperature maintenance strategies and; cost-effective and efficient chain management and distribution methods.

Key benefits of attending include:

  • Learn efficient vaccine distribution techniques to reduce the casualties
  • Understand best practice methods of controlling and monitoring across the cold chain
  • Identify the importance of compliance with global regulatory standards to ensure drug integrity across the cold chain
  • Analyze the challenges in outsourcing your logistics and supply chain and how to best manage this relationship to ensure quality service to customers
  • Implement cost-effective and innovative tools and technologies across the logistics and cold chain networks to improve efficiency
  • Network with pharmaceutical supply chain, logistics and QA stakeholders
